Not now. We just tried and the bottom outdoor area is closed.
yes, it is a kid friendly restaurant
Yes sometimes.
The only place open when we were there in March, but this place serves up a welcoming, home cooked food and friendly service. This place has plenty of draft beers, liqueurs and liquor, but don't expect a long wine list here. No Pinot Noirs to go with your steaks. The place was a bit rowdy on Saint Patrick's day, but much more sedate the next night. There was live poker going on Saturday night. They have a stage for live music. The ceiling is decorate with hundreds of hats and dollar bills. We didn't get a good explanation of that.I'd say the Little Missouri is worth at least one visit of you're in Medora.
Great tap beer selection. Got firehouse red local beer from Rapid City. Also nice shot selection. Food looks good
Good service nice options from steak to hamburgers and back food was pretty quick full bar was available so fairly nice visit, good for both couples and family alike.
Eat outside on the upper patio, good food but had wasps flying all around. Service could have been more personal instead of a monotone. It was obvious staff couldn't wait tell closing time.
Short on help, beer wasn't very cold but baked potato was garlic toast was like a brick. Won't be going back.
Pretty solid food, had the bison ribeye. Nice atmosphere and the waitress was super friendly
Pretty good food, we sat on the deck and had a nice view of the town.
Good food and friendly staff. Even though our bartender was great he was the only one there to serve the whole lower floor. Cannot speak for the upstairs dining experience though.
Little Missouri has it's dining upstairs and a deck. Prices seemed good. I had the poppers, boneless chicken wings, and breaded fried corn fritters. The food was good...the fritters, highly addictive. The service wss also good. I will be back.
Fries came cold, never did get the replacement fries that were requested. No air conditioning inside- one server for a huge area so wait times were outrageous. We sat at our table well over an hour and there were tables inside that were dirty and uncleaned when we arrived and still untouched by the time we left, with huge gatherings of flies. Food was medicore at best. Waitress was great for what she had to deal with- clearly they need more staff.
1st time ever being here and this waitress made it amazing! The kids even got to work!
Giddy up and pull up a chair. Food, cold beer and a great atmosphere.
What a great saloon! Great food with big portions and a large variety of adult beverages!! The staff were friendly. The establishment is within walking distance of the hotels!
Andrej was amazing, basically alone to take care of the bar and entire dining area, and he nailed it. Very attentive, friendly, and explained everything going on with the COVID-19 situation. Food was good too, but of special note was the Steak and Cheese Curd appetizer...very good.
Wonderful staff. The food was good and priced reasonably. I will go again next time I'm in tow.
Busy night even though the town was dead on dec 26. Server was on her own for 8 tables and the bar and she did a great job. Pizzas were yummy and the burger was tasty. Plenty of food. A good option for the dead of winter.
Visited in the off-season, but even with only a few staff the service was excellent. The food was good, and they were knowledgeable about providing gluten free food, even if the offerings weren't extensive.
This was a nice place to stop for afternoon appetizers and a drink. Bar and grill downstairs and family dining upstairs. Mid priced good service. Food was fast and delicious. Not as crowded as some other restaurants.
The staff was great and so was the food. Sat out on the deck on a nice summer evening which really enhanced the experience.
The service was poor! Our waitress wouldn’t even look at us little alone ask if we needed anything! (And it wasn’t busy upstairs) Got upset when we asked another waitress for drinks after sitting for 30 minutes without anyone coming over to our table. :( I should add we were here the day before with much better service and the bartender downstairs was awesome!
A decent place to grab food and drink in Medora, ND, near Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The food was a bit above average and tasted good. However, as many have mentioned, it took quite a while to actually receive our food once we had ordered (about 45 minutes to an hour). Prices were about average. The atmosphere was of a fun, western theme.
I would: Definitely try their burgerOutstanding burger in a darker saloon-inspired room. Top level is less inviting, but has outdoor dining overlooking the town.
Stopped for dinner tonight. Ordered rare steak. Should have been a quick, straight forward meal to prepare. An hour later we still had no utensils or salad. Told the bartender we were leaving. He responded that he was too busy to cook. Came across the street to Boots. Service was fast and food not only good but cheaper.
Good food, affordable for a family on vacation. Great little western atmosphere with saddle seats, wood paneled interiors etc.
Food wasnt bad. Walleye was good, bit greasy from deep fried. Service was slow tho. A nice , unique place. Friends FF were cold, will go back, tho. They should of had more staff, esp with craft fair going on. Love the decor
My favorite place in Medora!!
Great food and great service. Natasha was fabulous!!
Just had appetizers and drinks. Nice sized portions and it was a great view on the patio!
Great food at a very reasonable price... out door seating was nice.. service was great.. would eat here again..
Food was cold, barely mediocre and service was slow. Staff was very friendly though. We ordered bacon cheeseburger, elk burger, cheese pizza, a kids mini corn dogs and fried green beans appetizer. The appetizer never made it out. I ordered a Caesar and it was made with no seasoning and tomato juice instead of Clamato, the potato salad was warm, and the burgers were cold. The appetizer never made it out. The pizza was good though... if I had to ever come back here I would def order the pizza.
Pretty good pizza.
We did not have a great experience. We went for dinner on a Sunday night and maybe they were understaffed. But they really need someone dedicated to seating people and running the register. On our visit, the servers had to do this in addition to waiting on tables. It was a horrible setup and I felt bad for the servers who appear to work their tails off. As for the food, it wasn’t terrible (not a ringing endorsement but not a bad one either). They were out of ranch dressing (I’ve never experienced this anywhere else) and steak quesadillas. When my ribeye came it was well done instead of medium rare. Had to send it back. Not sure how they got it so wrong. Based on our experience, we would absolutely not return.
We had so much fun here but they didn't have enough workers. The bartender that was there worked as fast as a human possibly could, but the bar was packed and he was alone. It is the end of the season so a lot of workers may have left, but I world think they've done this long enough to plan for that. I would DEFINITELY go back. We had lunch here and a late night visit and it was the best we had!
Excellent food and service...
Best fried chicken ! BEST potato salad. Burgers were great too. Service was good and decor was fun. Will eat there again.
I stopped in after a visit to Theodore Roosevelt National Park during the off-season, and was not disappointed. They open late during the winter, I think at 3:30, but it's one of the only places in Medora that was actually open. I recommend the buffalo burger, but I saw a pizza that another table ordered, and it looked really good too.
The saloon is a fun place to hang out for a cold beer and a bite to eat. Knowledgeable bar tenders added to the fun as did the nice selection of craft beers. The burger was delicious.
So little mo-mos was alright today. This was the first time here and I had a beer that I liked and the fried pickles were done terrifically. But the beer and cheese pretzel bites had no pretzels or cheese sauce. In fact it was just fried cheese, weird. When we ask for pretzel we were told no that's how its done
It was a great meal had the buffalo ribeye great atmosphere and service was excellent just seemed that the staff was really rushing around. And we were not rushed at the table or to leave the table.
Not a lot of places to eat in Medora so we probably ate at most of them during our stay and this place was probably our favorite. Good food. Good service. Great atmosphere.
Food was ok, staff was friendly. Unfortunately the staff was very busy, so the attention to the guests came short. We received an excuse for that.
Everything was perfect. I'll definitely be there again
Great atmosphere. Good food. Quirky decorations with good story what they do with the dollar bills.
No precautions taken to prevent virus spreading. The bartender/server tried to seat us right next to another table, even though the rest of the place was empty. He was opening beer bottles with his hand, handling cash, shaking hands with people, putting straws in people's drinks, serving food with his thumb against the food, no mask and did not wash his hands or use hand sanitizer the whole time we were there. I so regret going in there. I was more worried about being polite and trying to support local business than my own safety.
After a long day of hiking in TRNP, stop at The Saloon for North Dakota brews and housemate fried pickles. Bar is set up for social distancing and the service is outstanding.
We had the taco salad and a bleu cheese burger, and both were enjoyable. Nothing I'd come back for, but they were decent and served relatively quickly. The upstairs patio was simply decorated and offered good views of town.
The burgers are amazing. The bartender works at lightning speed. Take care of him, he takes care of you! Steak is definitely on my list of favorites things there.
Excellent food and service! You wont be disappointed if you stop here to eat or just drink!
Service was good. Food was mediocre
Great place to eat, very nice people and customer service
